Privacy Policy
PakPath is free and needs no account. This page explains in plain language what we store, what never leaves your device, and what advertising cookies do.
What we collect
When you ask the AI counselor a question, we store the question you typed, the answer it produced, the education level you selected (for example Matric or Intermediate), and a randomly generated session ID. That ID is a random string. It is not linked to your name, phone number, or email.
Stored only in your own browser, never sent to us: that random session ID, your selected education level, and whether you have dismissed the assistant prompt. Clearing your browser data removes all three.
The Career Finder and the merit calculators run entirely in your browser. The marks, grades, interests, and budget you enter are never transmitted to us and are never stored on our servers.
We never ask for your name, CNIC, phone number, email address, or roll number. PakPath has no accounts and no logins.
As on every website, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you asked for.
Advertising and cookies
PakPath shows advertising through Google AdSense. That is what keeps the site free for students. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
You can turn off personalised advertising at any time in Google Ads Settings. Google explains this in more detail in its advertising policies, and you can opt out of other vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info.
Blocking these cookies does not stop you using PakPath. Every roadmap, calculator, and guide works exactly the same with advertising cookies switched off.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone for marketing. A small number of service providers help us run the site:
- Google — the question you ask the AI counselor is sent to the Google Gemini API to generate an answer. Separately, Google AdSense serves the ads you see here.
- Supabase — hosts the database that stores counselor questions and answers.
- Vercel — hosts and serves the website itself.
We may also disclose information where the law requires us to.
Students under 18
PakPath is written for students choosing what to study, so many of our readers are under 18. The site is built so that no personal information is needed to use it: there is no sign-up, and we never ask a visitor to identify themselves.
Please do not type personal details — your full name, CNIC, address, phone number, or school roll number — into the AI counselor, because your question is stored. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has shared personal information with us, email us and we will delete it.
How long we keep things
Counselor questions and answers are kept so we can see which topics students struggle with and improve our guides. You can clear everything stored in your browser at any time through your browser settings, and you can control advertising cookies using the links above.
If you want a question you asked removed from our records, email us with a rough date and the wording you used, and we will find it and delete it.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes we will update the date shown at the top of this page. It was last updated on 7 September 2026.
