FAST-NUCES admissions and entry-test guide
FAST-NUCES is one of Pakistan's most recognised routes into computer science and software careers. Its admissions are competitive, and the formula changes by programme, so the first decision is whether you are applying to computing, engineering, or business.

The route
How admission works
- •FAST uses a 10/40/50 weighting for computing and BBA routes: Matric, HSSC, and admission test.
- •FAST engineering uses a different 17/50/33 weighting, so a computing calculator is not valid for engineering.
- •Minimum SSC and HSSC requirements vary by programme. Mathematics is important for computing and engineering eligibility.
Who this route suits
Choose FAST if you want a concentrated computing environment, are comfortable with a demanding admission test, and plan to build practical technical skills alongside your degree.
What to check carefully
FAST does not publish one universal closing merit. Campus, programme, test route, and intake all matter, so treat online cutoff claims as estimates rather than guarantees.
