NET carries 75% of your NUST aggregate, more than any other major Pakistani entry test. It also runs several times a year, which makes it the one test where a second attempt is a normal part of the plan rather than a fallback.

What's in the paper
Section weights decide where your preparation time is worth spending.
Eligibility
- •At least 60% in both SSC and HSSC to be eligible at all, before your aggregate is even considered.
- •SAT or ACT scores are accepted in place of NET for candidates who apply by the published deadline.
Qualifying marks
No separate pass mark — NET feeds the aggregate at 75%, so a strong FSc cannot compensate for a weak NET here.
Worth knowing
The section weighting shown is the engineering and computing split following the 2025 reform. Other programme groups include Chemistry or Computer Science and an intelligence section, so confirm the composition for the specific programme you are applying to.
