From FSc Pre-Engineering to PEC-registered professional
Follow the flow top to bottom. Where the path forks, each option listed is a genuinely accepted route at that stage.
Physics and Mathematics carry the whole track — Biology is not required at any later stage.
FSc Pre-Engineering opens every discipline. ICS only reaches Computer / Software Engineering, and a DAE diploma enters through a separate technology quota.
Merit weighs FSc marks together with the entry test, so a strong test score can still rescue an average FSc. You may sit more than one.
Check the program against the PEC accredited list before enrolling — an unaccredited BE cannot be registered afterwards, whatever the university claims.
You register as an RE straight after an accredited degree. PE status comes later and is what lets you sign off and stamp engineering work.
PEC registration is required for public-sector jobs and for signing off design work; private industry and overseas roles often follow the same expectation.
Career endpoints reachable from the degrees above.
Engineering is ideal for students who enjoy physics, mathematics, design, and practical problem-solving. It is a strong path for public-sector jobs, industrial careers, and technical leadership, but it requires careful attention to PEC accreditation and registration.
Compare the programs in this pathway by what you study, how you qualify, and where each route can take you.
